The forcibly displaced people from Artsakh in 2020 receive a weaker support package from the Armenian government compared to those displaced in 2023. However, switching from one package to the other is prohibited.
For the affected Artsakh residents, it is unclear why discriminatory programs have been designed for people facing the same hardships. Meanwhile, the family of Armine Matevosyan, who lost their home in Shushi and Ishkhanadzor, was not even granted the 14 million AMD intended for border residents in the border village of Lusarat, Armenia. Instead, they received only 10 million AMD, which is insufficient to provide shelter for their six-member family.
